Mount & Balance / Warehouse Position

JOB SUMMARY:

Coker Tire Company, a well known, long-time, local business in Chattanooga, Tennessee, has a full-time entry level warehouse position available.  We are a leading automotive aftermarket company known worldwide for our specialty products and our dedication to superior customer service as well as our involvement in the community.  Responsibilities of this individual will include mounting and balancing tire and wheel combos using company equipment, loading and unloading trucks and additional warehousing duties as requested by management.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.      Mount & Balance Tire and Wheel Combos for radial and bias ply tires, perform tube installations as needed.

2.      Perform Valve installations

3.      Perform testing for quality and to ensure certain specifications are met

4.      Inspect all incoming inventory to ensure proper specifications are met as ordered by purchasing

5.      Unload and load tires, wheels, rims, tubes, caps, and accessories

6.      Maintain neatness and organization, and ensure proper space utilization in the warehouse

7.      Read and comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, and stock transfer sheets in order to pull items with precision and accuracy

8.      Accurately perform cycle inventory counts as necessary

9.      Effectively operate pallet jack, forklift, and order picked

10.  Transport inventory to and from Corporate Headquarters as needed

11.   Assist with year-end physical inventory

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.      PRIOR MOUNT AND BALANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!!

2.      Prior warehousing experience required!!

3.      Must be able to lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds

4.      Must have a valid driver’s license with experience driving a box truck

5.      Must be able to work Saturdays

6.      High School Diploma is required, Associate Degree or higher level of education is preferred

7.      Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
