Kiewit Power Constructors, Co.  is a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation. Based in Kansas City, Kansas, we specialize in large, integrated industrial, mechanical and electrical projects and construct major power and mechanical process facilities.

  Responsibilities
  * Plans, directs and manages the procurement activities of the Kiewit Power Procurement department under direction from the Commercial Area Manager.
* Develops, reviews, and approves new or improved procurement and administrative procedures to maintain economy and efficiency of operation.
* Approves bid proposals, presents recommendations on purchases requiring management approval.
* Oversees vendor prequalification process.
* Evaluates overall revisions, price and past performance of each contract.
* Acts as a liasion with procurement representatives of other Kiewit Districts to join in cooperative buying when this will result in savings.
* Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes.
  Qualifications
  * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel)
* Must have 5-10 years industry experince and a BS/BA in related.  MBA preferred.  The individual must be detailed oriented, flexible and highly motivated, have a strong work ethic and professional demeanor, effective time management and organizational skills, ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately, have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and must be a team player but able to work independently, to meet intense deadlines, goals and objectives.
